To become a member of LRWA, the following criteria are required for the different memberships:


Manufacturer

  • Accept and agree to comply with the relevant LRWA code of conduct.
  • Must be ISO 9000 certified.
  • Can demonstrate that roofing and waterproofing products manufactured have a proven track record of at least 5 years.
  • Must have products that are certified by the British Board of Agrement
  • Must be able to provide a minimum 10 year performance guarantee on products
  • Must have a system of recorded quality inspections in place for all works and projects that are guaranteed.
  • Must have in place competent technical staff that can give advice from both from the office and in the field.
  • Must have in place a system that will provide documented evidence of a site inspection procedure.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a minimum level of credit worthiness.
  • Have a fully documented complaints system


Associate Members

  • Production systems must conform to ISO9000.
  • Products must conform to relevant recognised performance Standards.
  • Must be willing to help with the development of their products for the use of the liquid roofing and waterproofing industry.
  • Must have products used within the liquid roofing and waterproofing industry that are able to carry a minimum performance guarantee of 10 years.
  • Accept and agree to comply to the LRWA code of conduct.
  • Support the activities of the association.
  • Must have trained technical support staff to assist both manufacturer and contractor members.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a minimum level of credit worthiness.
  • Have a fully documented complaints system


Contractor Members  

  • Must conform to the LRWA code of conduct.
  • Must have ISO9000 certified management systems.
  • Must provide recognised technical product training to all operatives.
  • Must provide health and safety training relevant to the industry to all operatives.
  • All training records must be kept for third party inspection.
  • Contractors to carry the relevant industry insurance.
  • Must have been trading for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Provide details of completed successful projects.
  • Be prepared for in progress site inspections by LRWA technical staff.
  • Must be sponsored by a Manufacturer member.
  • Should be working from properly recognised commercial premises.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a minimum level of credit worthiness.
  • Have a fully documented complaints system
