The Role:

  • Sales and promotion of the full range of Moy Materials products and systems to construction industry professionals including to Architects, Building Surveyors, Roofing Contractors, Main Contractors, End-users and other property professionals across the private, public and third party sectors.
  • Working closely with the UK Sales Manager (North), Site Technical team and fellow Technical Sales staff to develop Moy’s presence in the North West region.
  • The sourcing of sales leads across both refurbishment and new build markets.
  • Roof surveys, inspections and condition reporting.
  • Production of specifications and dissemination of detail drawings as part of a technical offering to key decision makers across the refurbishment and new build markets.
  • Development of a trained and approved Roofing Contractor network.
  • Delivery of CPD presentations to key specifier groups.

The Role:

• Working closely with the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be in charge of the day-to-day running of their region; liaising with clients, visiting sites, undertaking surveys and determining the specification.
• The Area Manager will also be responsible for quoting and presenting the services and full product line of the company to potential new business clients.
• With the full support of the Technical team, the Area Manager will conduct on-site surveys before writing the specification.
• Selling via specification with architects on new build projects and surveyors for refurbishment projects, and then tracking through to main contractors and roofing contractors for installation.
• Managing an important region for the business, the Area Manager will be expected to drive new business in the region, as well as building on the existing relationships with the diverse customer base.

The Ideal Person:

• Currently a sales manager based in the South of England or willing to relocate.
• Must have experience working for a roofing contractor or roofing manufacturer in a sales position with experience of conducting site surveys and writing specifications for roofing projects.
• Have a passion and desire to use their roofing knowledge to progress within a commercial sales environment.
• Will be motivated, driven and ambitious to determine their own career path at KEMPER SYSTEM.
• Have strong technical knowledge to hit the ground running and carry forward the company’s new business objectives within the region.
• Be professional, presentable, articulate and well educated.

We are currently looking for an experienced technical sales representative for the South West region, mainly focused on the M4 / M3 corridors, to join our UK team.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to maintain relationships and develop product sales with existing and new customers.

Drive the specification of Kemper System products with architects, building owners, surveyors, facilities managers, developers and contractors in the public and private sector.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years field-based experience of the UK commercial flat roofing market in a similar role.
• A good technical understanding of roofing, but willing and eager to learn new products and systems.
• Self-motivated and hands-on, but able to work closely with an office and field-based support team.
• Must have the ability to journey plan effectively and be willing to travel within the territory and beyond when necessary.
• Computer literate. MS Office including Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge of CRM systems would be an advantage.
• Numerate and Literate. Must have good written and verbal English language skills. Able to communicate well at all levels. A pleasant, optimistic and helpful personality with good rapport building and relationship skills are essential.
