Basic Competency Programme (BCP) Workshop

The LRWA is hosting a BCP training workshop in collaboration with other associations in the industry.

Together with the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA), the National Federation for Roofing (NFRC) and the Lead Contractors Association (LCA), we’re inviting anyone involved in the BCP including training delivery, administration and management, to come along to the event on Wednesday 7 March 2018.

During the two-hour workshop which will be held at the annual exhibition, EcoBuild, in London, we will share best practice across the roofing sector, learn about new developments and discuss the sustainable future delivery of the BCP.

We will also be showcasing our new training video explaining all routes to NVQ2 which has been developed alongside our fellow associations. We will be able to share this video with our members to use in their own marketing material and websites, to help promote the benefits and importance of BCP training.

The aim of the workshop is to work together to gather a deeper understanding of the concept of BCP training and improve communication, efficiency and delivery. We’d also like to discuss how we can increase the number of trainees accessing BCP grant funding, how to improve trainees’ understanding of training options and ensuring operatives are fully qualified and are applying for CSCS cards.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday 7 March 2018 at the Ecobuild exhibition, ExCel, London, Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, London E16 1XL. The event will begin at 1pm with a light lunch and networking before the workshop at 2pm until 4pm.
