Background:
Scheme comprises construction of three buildings (1 four storey, 1 five storey and 1 six storey) to provide 51 flats (17 one bedroom, 27 two bedroom, 6 three bedroom and 1 four bedroom) together with 27 car parking spaces, associated landscaping works.
Scheme also includes Polycarbonate Cladding & Translucent Cladding.
Sustainable Information: This scheme has been designed to meet with Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The associated works include sewer systems, infrastructure, enabling and access roads.

Solution:
This attractive and complex project required a best fit waterproofing system over three blocks which were to be used as communal terraces and garden spaces along with winter gardens/balconies and run roofs.
Given this design brief, an inverted protected membrane system was specified by Moy and approved by the client’s design team. The inverted roof system was selected to manage the various construction trades on site, protecting the waterproofing at an early stage of construction and keeping the building dry while other rooftop works commenced. Such a system also caters for the foot traffic associated with design features such as terraces and decks.
The speed of application along with the ability of Enkopur to tackle complex through-wall construction details, coupled with the system’s ability to cure quickly and allow for the construction of other items by other trades, solved potential headaches at an early stage of the project for all construction partners.
Roof waterproofing works with Moy’s Enkopur system started on time and were completed to cost and within tight programme constraints, with high praise passed on from the site management team for the performance of Plan Construction Solutions Ltd.
