LRWA ANNOUNCES NEW DATE FOR AWARDS & GALA DINNER
The Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA) has announced a new date for its Awards & Gala Dinner.
The 2020 event was postponed to 3 November 2021 because of the pandemic. It has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, 23 March 2022 to avoid clashing with the UK Roofing Awards also taking place in early November.
The venue for the LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner will remain at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool’s Stanley Dock.
All entries from 2020 and 2021 will be carried over to next year’s awards and the current entry form will remain open until 3 December 2021. All tickets and room bookings have also been automatically carried over.
Sarah Spink, CEO of the LRWA said: “Planning this event during a pandemic has been a huge challenge, so we’re pleased to now be in a position to secure a date.
“We’re looking forward to bringing people together in a safe environment to celebrate the outstanding workmanship and technical excellence in the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector.
“Despite the challenges faced by our industry over the past year, we know that lots of our members have continued to deliver impressive projects during the pandemic. The event provides the ideal platform for contractors and manufacturers to showcase those achievements and promote the benefits and versality of a broad range of liquid systems.”
The LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner was launched in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength. More than 300 people from across the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector attended the 2019 event, including contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.
The award categories for 2022 will remain the same, which include ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year over 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year under 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year, and ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year in a Buried Application.’ Awards will also be given to individuals in categories including ‘Trainer of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year.’
