It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that the LRWA Charity Dragon Boat Regatta, which was re-scheduled for 11th September 2020, will not take place this year due to the ongoing measures being taken to minimise the spread of Coronavirus. Our top priority is the safety and welfare of our staff, our members, our other colleagues, stakeholders and their families. Although we hoped that by September we would be seeing some light at the end of this very long tunnel, we could not guarantee it, so we have taken the responsible action to cancel until next year.
Thank you to all those who have supported us so far, we will be monitoring the situation and will be looking to run the event as soon as we possibly can in 2021 and will keep you posted. .

LRWA Chosen Charity 2019/2020
This is the third year the LRWA has chosen to donate to a dedicated charity. We recognise we are in a privileged position in the UK, and as a sector are experiencing and enjoying continued growth and prosperity, so it’s only right to give something back to a worthy cause. No matter how big or small the donation, it could make a difference to people in a less privileged position.
This year, we have chosen the mental health charity, Mates In Mind. This fantastic charity addresses the stigma of poor mental health within the construction sector, by promoting positive wellbeing across workplaces in the UK. It provides a range of tools, support and help for employers in our sector.
A recent survey conducted by UK Construction Week, with support from Mates in Mind charity, has found that six out of 10 workers in construction have suffered mental ill-health because of their work.
