MOY NAMED HEADLINE SPONSOR OF LRWA AWARDS & GALA DINNER 2022

The Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA) has secured MOY as the headline sponsor for its Awards & Gala Dinner 2022.

Returning to the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, the LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner will take place on 23 March 2022. Hundreds of people from across the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector are expected to attend, including contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.

Cathal Quinn, Group Commercial Director for MOY, said: “We’re delighted to sponsor the LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner. This event is needed more than ever following one of the most challenging the construction sector and community as a whole have ever experienced.

“We’ve seen a resilience and determination from the sector and LRWA members who collectively re-grouped and helped re-open in a safe way. While challenges may continue, it’s important to take the time to celebrate jobs well done and on this rare occasion, get to congratulate each other as all members of the same side.

“This is the second time we’ve sponsored the awards and would like to thank the LRWA for an event which promotes the high standards being achieved across the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector. Each project reflects the versatility of liquids, the skilled people that work in flat roofing and exemplar workmanship.”

In 2019, more than 300 people attended the LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner. The following year, it was postponed to November 2021 due to the pandemic and later rescheduled to 2022 to avoid clashing with the UK Roofing Awards.

Sarah Spink, CEO of the LRWA, added: “We’re very grateful to MOY and our other supporters for helping us to run our fourth event. There have been various hurdles to overcome since we ran the awards in 2019, so we’re looking forward to finally being able to celebrate in person.

“I’m confident that 2022 will be a year which sets the bar even higher. The pandemic has brought many challenges, but it hasn’t stopped our members from delivering impressive and complex projects across a vast range of sectors.”

The award categories for 2022 will remain the same, which include ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year over 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year under 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year, and ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year in a Buried Application.’ Awards will also be given to individuals in categories including ‘Trainer of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year.’

All entries from 2020 and 2021 have been carried over to next year’s awards and the entry form will remain open until 3 December 2021.

A range of smaller sponsorship packages is also available.
