NEW VICE CHAIR FOR TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
We’re delighted to announce a new Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee has been appointed by the LRWA board.
Mike Bradbury, Liquid Product Manager at Bauder, will take on the role from June 2019. Mike’s experience in flat roofing and liquids spans more than 15 years. He has previously worked in a variety of technical roles at Sika Liquid Plastics, Centaur Technologies and Icopal.
Mike previously served as Technical Chair of the LRWA between 2010 and 2013. During this time, he managed the update to the ‘Roofs, Balconies and Walkways Code of Practice’ as well as a project to gain generic eco-point ratings for liquid waterproofing in the BREEAM Green Guide to Specification.
In his role of Vice Chairman, Mike will support our Technical Chair Gary Baines and work closely with the board and members to develop some of the LRWA’s major projects in the pipeline. He will also work with Gary, the team and members to help develop guidance notes, codes of practice, and other technical best-practice documents to ensure professional consistency is maintained within the association and the marketplace.
Sarah Spink, CEO of the LRWA said: “This ensures continuity within our technical committee and allows succession planning for this key role. Mike’s extensive experience of the liquid waterproofing industry and previous work at the LRWA made him the natural choice.”
We’d also like to take this opportunity to pass our many thanks to Paul Franklin, Technical Secretary, who will be stepping down from his role in the summer. Paul has provided invaluable expertise and technical knowledge to the LRWA, and we thank him for his support.
