Background
The old felt roof was removed and a waterproof robust trafficable system was required for this terrace area. New French doors were also being installed to lead out on to the terrace.

The Solution
A Wecryl Waterproofing System was applied to the new OSB deck. This not only provided a secure waterproofed system, but it also provided an aesthetically pleasing hard wearing non-slip tile effect finish.

The Benefits
The system provides a thin, hard wearing, non-slip waterproof coating.

The layers comprise of slightly different PMMA resins for the specific aims: Such as a waterproofing layer, a wearing layer and a protection layer. Combined these then provide an excellent purpose made solution, with all the elements being impervious to water.

The Wecryl systems are not only strong, they also have high levels of elasticity that can easily cope with any possible structural or thermal movement.

The tile effect finish is a cost effective and highly decorative way to provide a trafficable surface. This finish is easy to keep clean and to maintain, therefore prolonging the look of the terrace for several years to come.
