Experienced Business Development Manager for the Flat Roof Leak Detection Division, ideally suited to someone already involved in roofing &/or construction waterproofing.

GeoShield (established in 2015) are industry leaders in the fields of integrity testing, validation & verification for materials used during construction, mostly waterproof tanking, hazardous ground gas protection systems, stormwater management (attenuation tanks) and all those systems used for green & blue roof waterproofing.

We are seeking a person possessing both commercial acumen & practical awareness, someone who can spearhead the re-launch of the GeoShield Green, Blue & Existing Roof Testing Division. Reporting direct to the Projects Director, and working alongside other support divisions.

You will be responsible for identifying ELD integrity testing opportunities across the UK, approaching clients which will include systems manufacturers, facilities management companies, specialist applicators and structural design engineers, with the aim of being placed on their subcontractor network.

Supported by the GeoShield marketing department, a great number of project leads are sourced on-line, further enquiries are created by our industry exhibitions and trade journal editorials – the successful applicant will know how to leverage these leads to GeoShields benefit, meet with prospective clients and be confident in obtaining a start date.

The GeoShield Roof Testing Division are associate members of GRO Green Roof Organisation, members of the CORC Confederation of Roofing Contractors and RAWTA the Roofing and Waterproofing Test Association.

For the 2nd year the GeoShield Roofing Division will have a stand in the Green Roof Organisation pavilion at Futurebuild at the Excel during next spring.

This is a full-time role operating across the whole of the UK, so you will need to be flexible regarding remote work.

Qualifications, beneficial but not essential.

  • Roofing NVQ2 or Level 2 Diploma in Roofing Occupations is desirable
  • CSSW is advantageous
  • Knowledge of roofing manufacturers own membranes, application and integrity testing training would be helpful
  • A NFRC qualification is desirable
  • CSCS Blue Card
  • Knowledge using equipment manufactured by Buckleys & Leister
  • General IT skills, word, excel
  • Most importantly, a proven history within the UK waterproofing industry

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
