About Business Unit Roofing

As industry leaders, we’re constantly creating and developing roofing technologies to ensure that we offer the best to our customers! These include Single Ply, Liquid Applied,and Reinforced Bituminous Membrane and Flat Roofing.

Purpose of the Role

This role is all about supporting the Roofing Business Support Team with day-to-day tasks.

You will help with customer enquiries by calling people back, collecting key information, and passing it to the correct Area Sales Manager. You will also look at project information in our Sales systems (Glenigan and Salesforce) so the Sales Team has the latest updates.

Additionally, part of your job is helping to create Third-Party Quotes, which means checking details carefully and making sure the information is correct. You will also help the team by looking at Sales Dashboards and Reports and completing any actions needed.

As an apprentice, you’ll gain valuable experience in teamwork, communication, and using business systems like SAP and Salesforce. You’ll develop practical skills that will help you build a strong foundation for a career in business support. While growing professionally, you’ll also work towards achieving an NVQ Level 3 qualification, with excellent support for both your education and workplace learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing quotes from third-party suppliers accurately and on time.
  • Assisting the sales team in resolving queries so invoices can be processed promptly.
  • Reviewing project information from NBS and Glenigan to keep the team informed.
  • Directing general website enquiries to the appropriate Sika team.
  • Carrying out other administrative tasks as needed to support the team.

This role could lead to further opportunities within the Roofing Business Team and the wider Sika organisation as you develop your skills and experience.

Key functions of this role require attention to detail, the ability to develop and maintain professional interpersonal relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
