Role Purpose:

The Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving Polyroof’s growth, with a concentrated effort on identifying and capitalising on new sales opportunities within the refurbishment and new build sectors across the London and South East (area highlighted in purple). This strategic role requires the development of strong relationships with key specifiers, such as architects, local councils and surveyors, to increase the volume and quality of specification work that can be executed by Polyroof’s network of approved contractors.

By leveraging market insights and collaborating closely with the Sales, Technical, and Marketing teams, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing Polyroof’s brand presence and achieving targeted sales objectives. The focus is on ensuring that specifications not only meet but exceed client expectations and are readily actionable, facilitating a seamless transition of specified work to our trusted contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Specification Growth: Increase Polyroof’s presence within key sectors by identifying and securing new specification opportunities in collaboration with regional teams.
  • Improve Project Conversion: Grow the volume and quality of specification projects while managing and progressing opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records and performance tracking through Dynamics CRM to support reporting and strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Technical Support teams to achieve shared objectives and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Territory Development: Manage and expand the sales territory, identifying opportunities and addressing challenges to support sustainable growth.
  • Deliver CPD Presentations: Organise and present CPD sessions to architects and surveyors, promoting Polyroof’s products, innovations, and technical expertise.
  • Build Industry Relationships: Develop strong professional networks and strengthen Polyroof’s reputation as a leading provider of roofing solutions and industry innovation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Motivated and dynamic, with a passion for sales and a technical background in liquid roofing.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, preferably within the roofing or construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and innovate, supporting the growth of Polyroof through strategic sales initiatives.
