Open categories, judged by an independent panel of construction professionals with guidance from trade association experts:
- Sustainability Project of the Year
- Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year (for example car parks, bridges, balconies, walls etc)
- Liquid Roofing Project of the Year in a Buried Application (for example inverted roofs, green roofs etc)
- Liquid Roofing Project of the Year Under 1,000m²
- Liquid Roofing Project of the Year Over 1,000m²
Closed categories, nominated and awarded by the association:
- Student of the Year
- Chairman’s Recognition Award for Special Contribution to the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Industry

- Deadline to enter: Friday 27th November 2026. There will be no deadline extension.
- Shortlisted companies notified: week commencing 4th January 2027
- Winners announced: Wednesday 17th March 2027 at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool
- Why should I enter?
The LRWA Awards recognise the quality, professionalism, the finest workmanship and dedication to one of the fastest growing sectors of the UK roofing industry.
Entries can be made by any LRWA member, for a project completed using a Manufacturer Member’s product. Reasons to enter include:
- A competitive edge over your peers
- Recognition for outstanding projects and achievements in liquid roofing and waterproofing
- Free PR in industry newsletters, publications and on social media
- A benchmark for your work against the competition
- Raising your company profile
- Photography Tips
Good quality photography is essential to the success of your entry. Judges use your photos to understand the scale, complexity and workmanship of the project, and to support the written parts of your entry.
- Capture a good range of photos throughout the project, including work-in-progress and the finished result
- Include photos of people working on site in the correct PPE, such as hard hats and hi-vis clothing
- Tidy the work area before taking work-in-progress shots, and keep trip hazards such as trailing leads out of view
- Take a mixture of long shots, mid-range shots and close-up detail shots, particularly of any difficult or unusual details
- Use high resolution, in-focus images, and avoid obstructions such as trees or other buildings
- For large projects, consider an aerial shot to show scale
- Site operatives can use camera phones if a professional camera is not available, provided this is done safely
- Rules of Entry
- The LRWA Awards are free to enter
- Entries must be submitted by Friday 27th November 2026, using the LRWA Project Categories Award Entry Form
- Entries will only be accepted from LRWA members
- If an entry is made by an LRWA manufacturer member, the contractor must be a manufacturer Approved Contractor. If the contractor is not already an LRWA member, any winning contractor will be offered LRWA membership free for the first year
- Projects must have a completion date between 28th November 2025 and 27th November 2026. Previous project entries will not be considered
- Project locations must be within the United Kingdom or Eire
- You may enter more than one project, but each must be a separate submission
- You may resubmit a previous Roofing Awards entry for consideration, provided it was completed within the period stated above
- Entries in the open categories are judged by a panel of independent construction professionals with guidance from trade association experts. The decision of the shortlisting experts and judges is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into
- Further information may be requested from shortlisted companies
- Please provide a good selection of high resolution photos (before, after and work-in-progress, including close-up and detailed shots)
- Photographs must be electronic, minimum 300dpi, and include the project name in the file name
- All photographs submitted must be clear of copyright
- Judging Criteria
Each project is judged anonymously, without the contractor or manufacturer’s identity revealed to the panel. Projects are judged on merit alone, based on the information supplied in the entry form, against four criteria:
- Degree of difficulty: complexity of details
- Workmanship: standard achieved
- Problem solving: how project or client constraints were addressed
- Aesthetics: visual impact and appearance
