- LRWA Trainer of the Year
We are inviting LRWA members to submit nominations for the Trainer of the Year award. Open to individuals working within an LRWA member company, this award celebrates those actively involved in training within the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector, recognising outstanding trainers making a real difference in skills development and professional excellence across the industry.
Nominations are assessed against six key criteria:
- Technical excellence and industry knowledge
- Training delivery and engagement
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Innovation in training
- Mentorship and leadership
- Contribution to the industry
- Who can be nominated?
An individual who is actively engaged in training applicators, internal staff or specifiers as part of their day-to-day role, and who is employed or regularly contracted by an LRWA member for the purposes of training. The individual must deliver their courses from a dedicated training facility.
Nominations must be submitted by a colleague or manager, via the online nomination form, with appropriate supporting evidence.
- Key Dates
- Deadline for nominations: Friday 30th October 2026
- Winners announced: Wednesday 17th March 2027 at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool
- Judging Process
Nominees will be invited to a Teams interview, during which they must demonstrate how they meet the key selection criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to conduct a training day, which can be observed and assessed by an LRWA judge.
All nominees are expected to act professionally at all times, and must not bring the Association, their own organisation or fellow nominees into disrepute. The LRWA judge’s decision is final. Questions regarding the judging process or result should be sent in writing to the LRWA CEO at sarah.spink@lrwa.org.uk.
